November 24—Motivation
The word for today is motivation.
“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done” (Rev. 22:12).
“I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, in order that no one take your crown” (Rev. 3:11).
“And now, little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming” (1 John 2:28).
“Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men” (Col. 3:23).
“Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil” (Eph. 5:15-16).
“So then each one of us shall give account of himself to God” (Rom. 14:12).
“But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, in order that I may finish my course, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God” (Acts 20:24).
“Show me, O Lord, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life” (Ps. 39:4).
“Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 3:13-14).
“Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom” (Ps. 90:12).
Prayer: Lord, I am pressing hard toward the goal; what joyful anticipation arises as I think of soon being home.
