Look, the Lord takes notice of his loyal followers, those who wait for him to demonstrate his faithfulness.
This verse challenges us to “look” to see two things:
(1) “the Lord takes notice of his loyal followers” and
(2) “the Lord takes notice of…those who wait for him [with the purpose] to demonstrate his faithfulness.”
“Then the LORD said to Satan, ‘Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil'” (Job 1:8 NIV).
“I say to myself, ‘The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.’ The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD” (Lamentations 3:24-26 NIV).
