Make me understand your ways, O Lord! Teach me your paths! Guide me into your truth and teach me. For you are the God who delivers me; on you I rely all day long.
What fabulous potions! (1) “Make me understand your ways, O Lord!”; (2) “Teach me your paths!”; and (3) “Guide me into your truth and teach me.”
Then the psalmist concludes with the reason:
(1) “you are the God who delivers me”; and
(2) “on you I rely all day long.”
These verses make me want to sing: “Jesus, I am resting, resting, In the joy of what Thou art; I am finding out the greatness Of Thy loving heart. Thou hast bid me gaze upon Thee, And Thy beauty fills my soul, For by Thy transforming power, Thou hast made me whole.”
