December 18—Kingdom

The word for today is kingdom.

“Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me; your throne will be established forever” (2 Sam. 7:16).

“Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Wealth and honor come from you; you are the ruler of all things. In your hands are strength and power to exalt and give strength to all” (1 Chron. 29:11-12).

“For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” (Rom. 14:17).

“For dominion belongs to the Lord and he rules over the nations” (Ps. 22:28).

“Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom” (Ps. 45:6).

“The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all” (Ps. 103:19).

“For He delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son” (Col. 1:13).

“And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, ‘KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS’” (Rev. 19:16).

“Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David; Hosanna in the highest!” (Mark 11:10).

“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you” (Matt. 6:33).

“So that you may walk in a manner worthy of the God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory” (1 Thess. 2:12).

Prayer: Lord, Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
