December 22—Justification
The word for today is justification.
“Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. For He delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins” (Col. 1:12-14).
“But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is reckoned as righteousness” (Rom. 4:5).
“Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Rom. 5:1).
“For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law” (Rom. 3:28).
“He who was delivered up because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification” (Rom. 4:25).
“Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him” (Rom. 5:9).
“And such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God” (1 Cor. 6:11).
“Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses” (Acts 13:38-39 KJV).
“That being justified by His grace we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life” (Titus 3:7).
Prayer: Lord, what joy to know we can be declared righteous by what the Lord Jesus did upon the cross. I now have a righteous-ness, not mine alone but granted through faith in Christ Jesus.
