May19_EnthusiasmThe word for today is honesty.
“Though you probe my heart and examine me at night, though you test me, you will find nothing; I have resolved that my mouth will not sin” (Ps. 17:3).

“And the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance” (Luke 8:15).

“Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. … He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. … May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you” (Ps. 25:4-5, 9, 21).

“Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away” (Gen. 5:24).

“This is the account of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God” (Gen. 6:9).

“In the land of Uz there lived a man whose name was Job. This man was blameless and upright; he feared God and shunned evil” (Job 1:1).

“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without hypocrisy” (James 3:17).

Prayer: Lord, my prayer this morning is recorded in Acts 24:16: “In view of this, I also do my best to maintain always a blameless conscience both before God and before men.
