The word for today is rewards.
“Now if any man builds upon the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each man’s work will become evident; for the day will show it, because it is to be revealed with fire; and the fire itself will test the quality of each man’s work. If any man’s work which he has built upon it remains, he shall receive a reward. If any man’s work is burned up, he shall suffer loss; but he himself shall be saved, yet so as through fire” (1 Cor. 3:12-15).
“In the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing” (2 Tim. 4:8).
“For who is our hope or joy or crown of exultation? Is it not even you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming?” (1 Thess. 2:19).
“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done” (Rev. 22:12).
Prayer: Lord, thank You that You are coming quickly. Strengthen us to hold fast to what we have, that no one might take our crown. Lord, just seeing You is going to be reward enough.
