The word for today is contentment.

“Let your character be free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, ‘I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you’” (Heb. 13:5).

“But godliness actually is a means of great gain, when accompanied by contentment. For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either. And if we have food and covering, with these we shall be content” (1 Tim. 6:6-8).

“For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield” (Ps. 5:12).

“May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed” (Ps. 20:4).

“As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God?” (Ps. 42:1-2).

“For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things” (Ps. 107:9).

I feel like singing the chorus of “Satisfied”: “Hallelujah! I have found Him—Whom my soul so long has craved. Jesus satisfies my longings; Thro’ His blood I now am saved.

Prayer: Lord, Your word tells me that the fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.
