The word for today is suffering.
“And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you” (1 Pet. 5:10).
“Therefore, let those also who suffer according to the will of God entrust their souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right” (1 Pet. 4:19).
Remember the 3 G’s:
- Grace: His grace will get you through it. This too shall pass.
- Growth: Right response leads to greater Christlikeness.
- Glory: Comes to God through victory.
Prayer: Lord, thank You that the suffering of this present time cannot
be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
