The word for today is Satan.
“But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one” (2 Thess. 3:3).
“And because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me—to keep me from exalting myself!” (2 Cor. 12:7).
“I do not ask Thee to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one” (John 17:15).
“Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land” (Job 1:10).
Our ultimate victory has already been secured at Calvary’s cross. The fight will not cease until we are home in glory.
Prayer: Lord, thank You that You will soon crush Satan under our feet.
