March12_CommunicationThe word for today is communication.

“And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition, as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words” (Matt. 6:7).

“How painful are honest words! But what do your arguments prove?” (Job 6:25).

“Does not the ear test words as the tongue tastes food?” (Job 12:11). “How long will you torment me and crush me with words?” (Job 19:2).

“I also could speak like you, if you were in my place; I could make fine speeches against you and shake my head at you. But my mouth would encourage you; comfort from my lips would bring you relief” (Job 16:4 5).

“I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread” (Job 23:12).

“When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise” (Prov. 10:19).

“May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer” (Ps. 19:14)

“My lover spoke and said to me, ‘Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, and come with me’” (Song of Sol. 2:10).

“Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones” (Prov. 16:24).

Prayer: Lord, help me to consider, with words of affirmation and encouragement, how to stimulate others to love and good deeds.
