The word for today is attitude.
“For he is the kind of man who is always thinking about the cost. ‘Eat and drink,’ he says to you, but his heart is not with you” (Prov. 23:7).
“Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life” (Prov. 4:23).
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” (Matt. 6:20-21).
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
“Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, let your mind dwell on these things” (Phil. 4:8).
“He will renew your life and sustain you in your old age. For your daughter-in-law, who loves you and who is better to you than seven sons, has given him birth” (Ruth 4:15).
“The glory of young men is their strength, gray hair the splendor of the old” (Prov. 20:29).
“The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green” (Ps. 92:12-14).
“Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth” (Col. 3:2).
The attitude of gratitude is the key!
Prayer: Lord, I will sing to You all my life; I will sing praise to my God
as long as I live. May my meditation be pleasing to You as I rejoice in
You, my Lord and my God.
