May all those who seek you be happy and rejoice in you! May those who love to experience your deliverance say continually, “May the Lord be praised!”
Three mays greet us this May morning:
(1) “May all those who seek you be happy and rejoice in you!”
(2) “May those who love to experience your deliverance say continually”;
(3) “May the Lord be praised!”
In the sermon on the mount, Jesus utters similar sentiments: “Blessed are you when men revile you, and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, on account of Me. Rejoice, and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you” (Matthew 5:11, 12 NASB).
“I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever” (Psalm 145:1 NIV).
