November 12—Gratitude
The word for today is gratitude.
“They were also to stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord. They were to do the same in the evening” (1 Chron. 23:30).
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name” (Ps. 100:4).
“Proclaiming aloud your praise and telling of all your wonderful deeds” (Ps. 26:7).
“It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night” (Ps. 92:1-2).
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever” (1 Chron. 16:34).
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Cor. 15:57).
“I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service” (1 Tim. 1:12).
“Through Him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that give thanks to His name” (Heb. 13:15).
“But thanks be to God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were committed” (Rom. 6:17).
“In everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thess. 5:18).
Prayer: Lord, I am singing the doxology this morning with an attitude of gratitude: “Praise God from whom all blessings flow; praise Him all creatures here below. Praise Him above ye heavenly host; praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost.”
