November 15—Sincerity
The word for today is sincerity.
“For I am mindful of the sincere faith within you, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois, and your mother Eunice, and I am sure that it is in you as well” (2 Tim. 1:5).
“So that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ” (Phil. 1:10).
“Like newborn babes, long for the pure milk of the word, that by it you may grow in respect to salvation” (1 Pet. 2:2).
“In view of this, I also do my best to maintain always a blameless conscience both before God and before men” (Acts 24:16).
“I am not speaking this as a command, but as proving through the earnestness of others the sincerity of your love also” (2 Cor. 8:8).
“But holding to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience” (1 Tim. 3:9).
“(For the fruit of the light consists in all goodness and righteous-ness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord” (Eph. 5:9-10).
“Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with a love incorruptible” (Eph. 6:24).
“In all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, with purity in doctrine, dignified” (Titus 2:7).
“Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart” (1 Pet. 1:22).
“But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith” (1 Tim. 1:5).
Prayer: Lord, I am asking the Holy Spirit to search me and test my heart for anything that borders on insincerity.
