November 19—Evangelism
The word for today is evangelism.
“‘But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.’ And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was departing, behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them; and they also said, ‘Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven’” (Acts 1:8-11).
“For you will be a witness for Him to all men of what you have seen and heard” (Acts 22:15).
“A truthful witness saves lives, but a false witness is deceitful” (Prov. 14:25).
“And He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation’” (Mark 16:15).
“Jesus therefore said to them again, ‘Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you’” (John 20:21).
“Jesus said to them, ‘My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to accomplish His work. Do you not say, “There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest”? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes, and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest. Already he who reaps is receiving wages, and is gathering fruit for life eternal; that he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together’” (John 4:34-36).
Prayer: Lord, I want to be a light that shines brightly, attracting sinners to the savior.
