November 30—Maturity
The word for today is maturity.
“And the Child continued to grow and become strong, increasing in wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him.” (Luke 2:40).
“The wicked desire the plunder of evil men, but the root of the righteous flourishes” (Prov. 12:12).
“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me. … By this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples” (John 15:4, 8).
“And now I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and to give you the inheritance among all those who are sanctified” (Acts 20:32).
“So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love” (Eph. 3:17).
“But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him, who is the head, even Christ” (Eph. 4:15).
“I planted, Apollos watered, but God was causing the growth” (1 Cor. 3:6).
“Like newborn babes, long for the pure milk of the word, that by it you may grow in respect to salvation, if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord” (1 Pet. 2:2-3).
“We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brethren, as is only fitting, because your faith is greatly enlarged, and the love of each one of you toward one another grows ever greater” (2 Thess. 1:3).
Prayer: Lord, I am feeding daily on Your word and I know I am growing. What joy!
