
November 8—Delight
The word for today is delight.
“If the Lord is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us” (Num. 14:8).
“Then I was the craftsman at his side. I was filled with delight day after day, rejoicing always in his presence” (Prov. 8:30).
“The Lord detests men of perverse heart but he delights in those whose ways are blameless” (Prov. 11:20).
“The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in men who are truthful” (Prov. 12:22).
“The Lord detests the sacrifice of the wicked, but the prayer of the upright pleases him. The Lord detests the way of the wicked but he loves those who pursue righteousness” (Prov. 15:8-9).
“But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night” (Ps. 1:2).
“As for the saints who are in the land, they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight” (Ps. 16:3).
“If the Lord delights in a man’s way, he makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand” (Ps. 37:23-24).
“Praise the Lord. Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who finds great delight in his commands” (Ps. 112:1).
“Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart” (Ps. 37:4).
“The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing” (Zeph. 3:17).
Prayer: Lord, You are all my joy and delight. My prayer is that I might be the same to You.
