October 18—Future

The word for today is future.

“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’” (Jer. 29:11).

“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged” (Deut. 31:8).

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isa. 41:10).

“I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please” (Isa. 46:10).

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you” (Ps. 32:8).

“The Lord will fulfill [his purpose] for me; your love, O Lord, endures forever—do not abandon the works of your hands” (Ps. 138:8).

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know” (Jer. 33:3).

“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless” (Ps. 84:11).

“He who testifies to these things says, ‘Yes, I am coming quickly.’ Amen. Come, Lord Jesus” (Rev. 22:20).

Prayer: Lord, satisfy us in the morning with Your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.”
