October 2—Foundation

The word for today is foundation.

“My own hand laid the foundations of the earth, and my right hand spread out the heavens; when I summon them, they all stand up together” (Isa. 48:13).

“Father, I desire that they also, whom Thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am, in order that they may behold My glory, which Thou hast given Me; for Thou didst love Me before the foundation of the world” (John 17:24).

“Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him. In love” (Eph. 1:4).

“How much more those who live in houses of clay, whose foundations are in the dust, who are crushed more readily than a moth!” (Job 4:19).

“In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands” (Ps. 102:25).

“The heavens are yours, and yours also the earth; you founded the world and all that is in it” (Ps. 89:11).

“Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed” (1 Tim. 6:18-19).

“Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God stands, having this seal, ‘The Lord knows those who are His,’ and, ‘Let everyone who names the name of the Lord abstain from wickedness’”
(2 Tim. 2:19).

“When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (Ps. 11:3).

Prayer: Lord, from the ends of the earth I call to You; I call as my heart grows faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
