December 7—Treasures

The word for today is treasures.

“Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine” (Exod. 19:5).

“He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure” (Isa. 33:6).

“The house of the righteous contains great treasure, but the income of the wicked brings them trouble” (Prov. 15:6).

“For the Lord has chosen Jacob to be his own, Israel to be his treasured possession” (Ps. 135:4).

“The good man out of his good treasure brings forth what is good; and the evil man out of his evil treasure brings forth what is evil” (Matt. 12:35).

“The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid; and from joy over it he goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field” (Matt. 13:44).

“Jesus said to him, ‘If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me’” (Matt. 19:21).

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves” (2 Cor. 4:7).

“In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Col. 2:3).

“Considering the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he was looking to the reward” (Heb. 11:26).

Prayer: Lord, I am setting my mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.
