November 23—Integrity
The word for today is integrity.
“‘Did he not say to me, “She is my sister,” and didn’t she also say, “He is my brother”? I have done this with a clear conscience and clean hands.’ Then God said to him in the dream, ‘Yes, I know you did this with a clear conscience, and so I have kept you from sinning against me. That is why I did not let you touch her’”
(Gen. 20:5-6).
“May integrity and uprightness protect me, because my hope is in you” (Ps 25:21).
“Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have led a blameless life; I have trusted in the Lord without wavering” (Ps. 26:1).
“In my integrity you uphold me and set me in your presence forever” (Ps. 41:12).
“The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity” (Prov. 11:3).
“May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer” (Ps. 19:14).
“Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long” (Ps. 25:4-5).
“I desire to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart” (Ps. 40:8).
“But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith” (1 Tim. 1:5).
“For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield” (Ps. 5:12).
Prayer: Lord, as the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
