December 15—Demons
The word for today is demons.
“And do not give the devil an opportunity” (Eph. 4:27).
“You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder” (James 2:19).
“For we wanted to come to you—I, Paul, more than once—and yet Satan thwarted us” (1 Thess. 2:18).
“And they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will” (2 Tim. 2:26).
“You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4).
“And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever” (Rev. 20:10).
“Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).
“For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment” (2 Pet. 2:4).
“Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world” (1 Pet. 5:8, 9).
Prayer: Lord, I want to be strong in You and depend upon Your strength. I am putting on the full armor that You have provided. I rejoice in the victory that is mine in Christ.
